Service Ambassador (Trainee Assistant Officer), Branch Banking
Prime Responsibilities
• Welcome customers upon their arrival at the branch and identify their service requirements. • Manage customer queues and token flow to minimize waiting time and ensure smooth movement within the branch. • Direct customers to the appropriate service counter, relationship officer, or self-service channel. • Provide accurate information regarding the Bank products, services, and delivery channels. • Assist customers with account-opening documentation, form completion, and other basic banking requirements. • Address routine customer queries and refer complex matters to the appropriate officer or department. • Encourage customers to use alternative delivery channels, including ATM, internet banking, mobile applications, and agent banking. • Maintain effective lobby management and ensure that the customer service area remains clean, organized, safe, and welcoming. • Collect customer feedback and promptly escalate complaints, service issues, and improvement suggestions to Branch Leadership. • Coordinate with Customer Service Officers, Relationship Officers, Relationship Managers, Branch Management, and other internal teams to ensure seamless service. • Maintain the Bank service-quality standards and provide customers with a consistent and professional experience. • Support branch administration, including lobby management, stationery, and customer-related services. • Immediately report any unusual or suspicious activity observed within or around the branch premises. • Follow the Bank internal control, compliance, AML/KYC, and operational-risk requirements. • Participate in training, e-learning, and on-the-job coaching to continuously improve product knowledge, regulatory awareness, and customer-service skills.
Qualification & Other Competencies
• Passionate and energetic individuals having a graduation with business background. • Previous experience (6+ months) in customer service, hospitality, banking, financial services, or a similar role will get preference, however fresh graduates are highly encouraged to apply. • Strong customer service orientation and a welcoming personality. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to understand customer needs and provide appropriate guidance. • Professional appearance, positive attitude, and courteous behavior. • Ability to manage customers effectively in a busy branch environment. • Basic understanding of digital banking services and delivery channels. • Strong coordination, problem-solving, and issue escalation skills. • Willingness to learn banking products, policies, compliance requirements, and service standards. • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining professionalism. • Geographical mobility and flexibility. • Excellent in communication skills. Fluency in English is much expected. • Good in interpersonal skills, having the ability to establish rapport and negotiate issues. • Applicants must be highly motivated and goal oriented with the ability to work both independently and as a team player. • Conversant with computer literacy - ability to navigate online platforms and work with Microsoft Office Applications.

Compensation & Benefit
• Monthly gross salary of BDT. 31,000. • Festival & performance bonus, hospitalization & maternity reimbursement, leave facility and other admissible benefits as per People Management Policy of EBL. • Absorption process facility to become full time employee of the bank after 18 months of joining depending on performance and discipline. • Will be able to work in a customer-centric, tech-driven as well as competitive environment.
