Head of Corporate Recovery (VP - SVP), Special Asset Management


Prime Responsibilities
•  Eastern Bank PLC. is looking for qualified resources to join our Special Asset Management (SAM) division. SAM plays an important role in assisting business growth and maximizing profitability while maintaining a balance between risk and reward over the life-cycle of bank’s products and portfolios. As a vital component of our commitment to responsible banking, this division specializes in the effective management of distressed loans and advances. With a focus on maximizing recovery while adhering to regulatory requirements, our team excels in loan restructuring, asset disposition, risk mitigation, client communication, and financial analysis. •  Planning, directing and overall management of respective Non-performing Assets and lead corporate recovery team in effective and efficient manner.
•  Strengthening NPL recovery actions for Corporate portfolio.
•  Contribute to Bank’s sustainable growth through maximizing recovery and minimizing NPL Assets.
•  Arranging necessary approval from Senior Management and or Board, as applicable.
•  Achieving the recovery target from delinquent portfolio to contribute to the income of the bank.
•  Managing the portfolios and increasing recovery in line with the budget.
•  Developing recovery strategies and procedures to strengthen recovery.
•  Ensuring that effective process and controls are in place with the EBL policy and local laws and regulatory requirements.
•  Maintaining inter departmental and external communications related to the departmental activities and recovery.
•  Keeping liaison with in-house lawyers and external retainers for early disposal of priority case to boost up recovery.
•  Addressing critical issues of the clients time to time and escalate to the department.
•  Managing and monitoring the recovery team well and keep them driving towards recovery activities.



Qualification & Other Competencies
•  Minimum graduation with relevant background.
•  Minimum 15 years of experience in corporate / commercial business / credit risk management / special asset management / corporate recovery.
•  Understanding of the full credit lifecycle.
•  Good IT skills and knowledge.
•  Excellent communication and leadership skills along with great interpersonal and customer relationship.
•  Multi-tasking, pro-active and keen to achieve set target.
•  Ability to work in a team and capability to meet deadlines.
